Hi
From Start>Run run the following command:
services.msc
then scroll down to the Imapi Service. What is in the Startup Type column?

Thanks, I had a look at that, but it didn't help. The issue (I think) is
that
IMAPI thing which keeps turning itself off. I have tried uninstalling the
device and restarting and reinstalling the device.

I am having real trouble burning files (photos and word documents) to
CD.
Burning music with iTunes is fine. When I try to use windows however I
get
an
error message that it can not be completed. I went to various sites and
discovered IMAPI is important and on my computer it keeps turning
itself
to
the stopped position (both on automatic and on manual modes). When I
start
it
again each time, I can burn a CD but then it stops again - I am really
not
sure what to do
Cheers
.
