NTLDR is compressed

I used my system recovery disk to wipe my machine clean and start all over
again. Once the recovery was complete is told me to press restart and remove
the disk as the machine boots up.
All I get now is this message NTLDR is compressed, press cntlr, alt & del
to restart.
Everytime I do this I just go back to the same message NTLDR is compressed.
There is nowhere for me to type any commands or anything.
Please help.
