Re: System Tray icons not loading at startup

Thanks. That did the trick. I still get an error at login, though. It's
titled "RUNDLL", and the message says:

"Error loading cmicnfg.cpl.
The specified module could not be found."

I suspect it has something to do with my unistallation of the "C-Media"-app
today. It was an update I got from MS update a few days ago. I saw it added a
Control Panel module, but when I tried to open it, it just gave me the
"loading" cursor, without actually loading any configuration window.

I suspect the "RUNDLL" has something to do with the startup process. Am I on
the right trail?

Plug and Play - Make sure it is set to Manual.
SSDP Discovery Service - Make sure it is set to Manual.
Universal Plug and Play Device Host - Make sure it is set to Automatic.

With any changes made click Apply then OK. Reboot and try it out and

I don't know whether this is an error or just an incorrect setting, but my
system tray icons (most of) don't load at startup. Most of the times, only
the LAN connection indicator and the Security Centre icons load.
Sometimes,
though, my Nvidia application and sound control unit also launches.

Don't know whether this will be of any significance, but I use:

Win Xp Home Edition with SP2
Spybot S&D V1.4 (which has a registry monitor and restrictor)
