Re: Getting automatic Dial-Up without IE or OE

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi Nass,

I'm still stuck on this. I verified that the Connections setting and
Firewall setting were as you suggested, but still my applications will
not trigger a Dial-Up. The only ways I can do that are:

1) Start IE and request a page (I have my default page as blank)
2) Tell Outlook Express to pick up mail
3) Manually run the Dial-Up icon from my desktop.

I suspect that between Win98SE and WinXP something radical has occurred
with the way Dial-Up is handled and it is only accessible via IE and
OE.

Any more thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Dave.
