Re: "[userX]'s Documents" missing on "Files Stored on this compute

Amazing. I have been offline for a month and I stumble over this post. ;-)

Desktop.ini files have the System and Hidden attributes. To see any
desktop.ini files you have to have Display the contents of system folders
and Show hidden files and folders set in Folder Options.

Sample desktop.ini for My Documents:

[DeleteOnCopy]
Owner=Wesley P. Vogel
Personalized=5
PersonalizedName=My Documents

If Owner= has a different name than the user's, the My Documents folder is
labeled with a different user's logon name when a user views the folders by
using Windows Explorer.

I also had this same problem, and Mr Vogel's solution worked nicely. The
only thing I would add is that I was unable to follow the last step that
is indicated as "note"... In each user's My Documents folder and
subfolders, open the Desktop.ini files and modify the Owner value under
the "DeleteOnCopy" section to match the user name. Not sure the purpose
of this step, or if it is necessary when adding in the missing USER for
the Files Stored on this Computer. Mr Vogel, your thoughts?

"[userX]'s Documents" missing on "Files Stored on this computer"

When I double-click on My Computer there is a section called "Files
Stored on this Computer". This section is currently displaying
"[userX]'s Documents" for all windows users but one. Does anyone know
how to show the folder for "[userX]'s Documents"?
