Booting from a CD has nothing to do with your boot.ini file.
It's a function of the systems BIOS which comes into play
before Windows starts up. Consult the manual for your system to
determine how to enter your computer's Setup program. When you
first start your computer you may see a line on the screen that
tells you how to do this. It may say something like Setup = F2
or "To enter Setup hit the DEL key".
In Setup, look for a section titled Boot. You'll need to change
the options to have the computer boot from the CD drive. Once
again, it's best to consult the manual for your system to find
out exactly how this is accomplished.
