Just curious, if you know how to use EFS (Encrypted File System), why are
you asking?

Windows XP Home or Pro?
Windows XP Home does not support EFS.

Do you have NTFS and not FAT 32 file system?

Have you disabled Simple File Sharing?

EFS is a good way to permanently lose data if not used properly.

i know how to use the encyption files
HOWEVER when i go onto a file and click on properties, advanced, the box
which says 'encrypt contents to protect data', its NOT clickable
does anyone know how to get past this, becuase i need to encyrpt some
files
