Re: getting rid of dual boot option and making 2nd drive active



Scott, you can just copy the boot.ini, ntldr, ntdetect.com files to the
new drive. Then try the Recovery Console and use the
Bootcfg /rebuild command. Disconnect the old drive before you do
this.

I have dual boot option now.
primary drive has trojan on it.
I installed new drive and clean xp but did not want to del. old drive to
back up
old files to new drive.
now have new drive working and want to activeate pation on new drive
and getrid of old drive. have tried repair and boot cfg with no luck.
I now there is no boot.ini file on new drive and need one on it plus
certin file copied to make bootable.
can any one help.
