Thanks Maurice...
I've found the problem, I don't know why the Norton Internet Security was
causing these issues...
I've done what you told me about the services in MSCONFIG, now the comp. is
running a way lot better.

Hi Tono,.
Here's a webpage relating to application hang with event id 1002. You may review it to see if anything helps shed some light.

Given that this is happening when run Ad-Aware, I have a concern and some tips.
The concern is that you may have a malware infection which is blocking the running of Ad-Aware {and to some lesser extent, you may have a hardware issue with flaky RAM memory, or a conflict with other open/running programs}.
(a) Make sure your system is malware free.
As long as your Adaware has the most up-to-date definitions, run it in Safe mode, and do another run in normal mode of Windows.
When in normal mode Windows, do not have other applications / utilities / antivirus programs "running actively" when you run Ad-aware {or another cleanup utility.....e.g, run one utility by itself }
You are highly urged to follow the steps at
"The Parasite Fight Quick Fix Protocol"

http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Security
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware
(b) Get the latest versions of cleanup tools and their definitions. Run tools in Safe mode first, and then run in normal mode.
Run MSCONFIG.
In there, review your startup programs in the Startup Tab, and review the Services Tab for the non-Windows (Microsoft) services.
Use MSCONFIG to minimize all startup programs to just firewall (if using 3rd-party firewall).
Make a written list of what you disabled, so that later on you re-enable the ones you want to keep.
But while doing cleanups, keep startups to a very few.
Post back here with details on your progress.

About my comp is a Dell, I tried to get some help from them but the
employee, after a review of my hardware, told me that my hardware
was working properly. They made a connection with the people of
software, and they told me that I have to pay a fee for that service.
Ive been working with windows XP (since it came out) for a long time,
but it always was the pro version (I never had problems with it). With,
the money I could pay for that fee I can buy the Pro version.
By the way Thank you for your help...
