Re: Getting a "Program in use by another or, not have admin rights"

Very good. Make sure to follow-up and run anti-malware checks.

Well, the files got the same msg in safe mode so I downloaded the
Killbox app. Yahooooooo! it worked. Thanks so much.

Howdy,

Your son probably meant "cracker" site, as in they download and "crack"
a
program to get around purchasing it. The download is from
who-knows-where
(execpt your son does know), but further, your system is now likely to
be
infected with spyware or malware .... especially if the download was
via a
peer-to-peer file-sharing setup.

The file in use could very well be due to your son "not" having logged
out
of his account --- the last time he used Windows.
Otherwise, reboot your system, and try to remove files.
If no go, reboot system, tap & repeat tapping F8 Function key, and
select
SAFE Mode. Then do your research & cleanup.

Here is a highly regarded tool for deleting stubborn files.
Named Killbox from

Allows you to specify a file to be deleted (or replaced) on next
reboot.

Hello, I am hoping someone here will be able to help. I allowed my
son
(Teenager) to use my office computer and play games. Now I have 3
files
on my desktop that I can not delete. When I right click and click
delete I get the mgs stating "Can not delete 'file.name' it is being
used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be
using the file and try again" This is the name of the files:
snd-magicmatch1.0.cracked.exe.exe, ciy-momu.exe, and dlt-ffd1.exe. I
asked my son where he got the files and he said from a crack site
(What
ever that means). How can I find out what programs are using the
file,
close them down so I may delete these. If I double click any of these
files it tells me that it is not a valid win32 app. HELP!

thank you for reading and you help.
