Commonly called the chevron, because that's what it resembles.
Notification Area
[[Chevron is missing: For some users, setting the very first icon to Always
Hide, restores the arrow. ]]

Bridget <Bridget@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> hunted and pecked:
Yesterday when I turned on my computer, the little arrow next to the
systray icons that allows you to see the hidden icons was missing. After
running the computer for a couple hours, the arrow just magically
reappeared, but now it's gone again. I did some fixes this morning so
now at least I can see all the icons (before, the hidden ones were
completely unaccessible) but I'd really like to be able to reduce my
system tray back to a manageable size. Any ideas?
