Re: Keep coming off session once you logon

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi,
I found the problem. I use \\xxx\c$ and \\xxx\d$ and I found out the
system partition changed from C: to D: and no C: any longer. That is why
the user logon goes half way and comes out to logon screen even I logon
with the new user id. I used Windows CD boot disk to go to command
prompt. I used "diskpart" then it does not give the same option so I can
change assign drive letter under Windows XP environment (normal boot). I
used partition manager to make user system partition is the active boot
partition. How should I change it back to c: as system partition? Any
tips will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

JC

Hii, Does this happen with all ur users or only one. if its only one then
ur user profile might be corrupted just boot in dos and rename the folder
windows will automatically create a new user profile folder for you. the
folders are located in documents and settings folder in the root directory
of ur windows installation.

Hope this helps...,

Hi,
My XP is keep coming off session once I am trying to logon with my user
id (administrator privilege) and administrator id. When I logon user
id, it is going to profile then come out to logon screen before 3/4 ways
of logon completion.. I saw the similar problem that my coworker had it.
It said something to do with one of OS file and he forgot it. I will be
appreciated your feedback and help.

Thank you in advance,

Johnny Chow
