Hi Joyce,
drivers don't turn bad overnight, so you need to think what changes may have
occured on your computer in the last few days. ie have you installed
anything new including devices? Another possibility is an XP update has gone
badly wrong. Is the problem triggered only by Quickbooks? When you say the
PC keeps shutting down are there any on screen messages? Yet another
possibility is hardware as this could be caused by faulty components.
Finally if the machine will start in Safe Mode you could try using System
Restore selecting a restore point from a few days before you noticed the
crashes happening.

Yesterday when I tried to get into Quickbooks, it kept shutting down.
When
I opened in Safe Mode, it worked the bugs out and I was then able to get
back
in.
Looks like this is a driver issue, but I don't know how to resolve.
Worried
about my whole system crashing, and this is my business computer.
Appreciate any help you can give me.
Joyce
