Microsoft Update
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
I googled verclsid.exe and found someone else was having the same issue(but
they were on a network of computers).
Basically the issue I am/was having is that IE will not access the network
if you type in an address to go to. The only time it will go to any page is
by clicking something in your favorites list. Every time I tried to go to a
new page, a new process "verclsid.exe" would come up in the task manager. I
had about 10 of these open before I decided to look in there.
I disabled firewalls, unintalled IE7 beta, everything, but it still
happened. Only when I googled verclisid.exe(once I closed all processes I
could go to my homepage google) did I see that it was related to the new
windows update. I uninstalled the 3 new security updates and now it is
working fine.
I dont know why it happened, but it was very frustrating. If you have any
information at all, please let me know ASAP. Thank you!
