No - you are wrong.

Microsoft NEVER sends notifications about downloads by email. Do not EVER
open such an email. If you have in the past opened such an email, thoroughly
scan your computer for malware and be suspicious of any unusual behavior
your computer exhibits.

This is such an old scam that most people are aware of it by now. Still, it
cannot be repeated enough. Microsoft never sends email of any kind to its
customers unless they have previously signed up to receive certain email
notifications

There is no need to open them!

There was once one that purported to be from Microsoft, but I thought it
looked odd and forwarded it to Microsoft and they stopped!

Microsoft does NOT mail download notifications, and never has. Those
emails
are a scam and you should delete them immediately. Don't even open them.

How do I advise Microsoft about change of my email address, so that I
continue getting the above? There is no provision in the email
Notification
for any changes to be notified, except cancellation.
