Gina,
I keep trying to have you reply here, with the name/version of your security suite. You likely have to tweak its settings to put microsoft update sites in /it's/ white list (safe sites list).
Also, reply if you have a problem reaching ordinary, plain vanilla websites.
The following are critical sites for Windows Update, please ensure they are trusted.
windowsupdate.microsoft.com
*.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
www.download.windowsupdate.com
download.windowsupdate.com
To access the Trusted Sites settings.
1. Open Internet Explorer browser
2. Click Tools / Internet Options
3. Click the Security Tab
4. Click on the Trusted Sites Icon
5. Click on the Sites button
6. Unselect the check box "Require server verification (https:)for all sites in this zone" ( Be sure it is un-ticked / not checked).
7. Add all sites listed above
8. Apply changes.

Hi Maurice,.
Thanks for your reply.
- No problem encountered during installation.
- My current antivirus software does has its own firewall. I've tried
to switch on and off between the antivirus and my xp firewall, but
still it doesn't work.
- Everytime I try to suft, it will always shown: Page cannot be
displayed.
Do you have any suggestions/things that I could try on the security
settings part? (considering that I'm very poor in computer).
Thanks
