Click Start - Run and type the following command, then press enter.

regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

This may be related. When I go into the properties of a removable
device and open up the AutoPlay window, the window under "Select an
action to perform" is an empty white screen with no selections
available.

This only recently occurred. Running Windows XP SP2 (with all patches
applied) Pro.
