Hi JohnP,
If you can still boot into the operating system on the laptop, d/load and
run the Magical Jellybean Keyfinder:
http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml
btw, you shouldn't have to reload ME in order to use the Upgrade CD to
install XP, unless ME is on a Recovery partition or Restore CD that XP's
Upgrade won't recognize as a qualifying previous version of Windows.
Regards,

I have my product key - my problem is that I have two of them. I have
several
computers and I need to re-format a laptop. I have purchased several XP
upgrades and have upgraded my computers some time ago. I need to re-format
one of the computers. I will reload the original ME OS and then I need to
reload the upgrade XP but I don't know which one I originally used on this
computer. How do I make the right choice?
