Hello all,
I sometimes get a BSOD when resuming from standby, and I need help
determining what this error code from event viewer means:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: Save Dump
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1001
Date: 10/03/2006
Time: 11:19:03 PM
User: N/A
Computer: AL
Description:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000008e
(0xc0000005, 0x8054ae34, 0xba2c7af8, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in:
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini031006-01.dmp.
Re: interesting crash ... What I don't understand is his Event Source.... Oh I see this is not an indication of the BSOD.... It is just the information that a dump was being created. ... >> The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.... (microsoft.public.win2000.general)
Re: interesting crash ... What I don't understand is his Event Source.... Oh I see this is not an indication of the BSOD.... It is just the information that a dump was being created. ... >> The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.... (microsoft.public.win2000.hardware)
Re: Wont remote re-boot ... i'm not fully sure about what you mean by "bugcheck".... hotfix caused it to install imcompatible files/incomplete file sets.... rebooting from a BSOD and sometimes gives back an answer about the cause. ... suppose the server doen't come configured to do it by default. ... (microsoft.public.backoffice.smallbiz2000)
Re: Blue Kiss of Death Crash on Boot Up ... Surprisingly, the BSOD Event may not be flagged as a warningIor an error, ... Also search for more Events with "Bugcheck".... One problem with Event Viewer is that it has a limited capacity, ... facilities are available to the Memory Dump at the time of the BSOD. ... (microsoft.public.windows.mediacenter)
Re: Event ID 1000 Save Dump ... If you turn off the "Automatically restart" option in the System Properties Startup and Recovery options you will get the BSOD!... The event message already tells you that: The computer has _rebooted_ from a "bugcheck".... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support)
