Is your Firewall blocking IPconfig, ping and netstat ?
Does ping 127.0.0.1 work?

I have run a full anti-virus and adware scan with norton and panda
software. They are current. They say I am clean, but these days, who
knows. In CMD I am using netstat.exe, ping.exe, and ipconfig.exe.
the "netstat.exe /?" gives me the list of options assoc. with the command.
the other commands do the same. so they are there.
if I use "netstat.exe /a" it gives me the column headers, but no info..
"ipconfig /all" just sits there with no info returning to the screen. I
have tried to send it to a txt file, but no info goes out to the txt file.
I booted in SafeMode with networking and all these commands work fine.
all other CMD commands appear to be fine, so I persume it has somethin to
do with the network or DHCP router not responding to my mach. request for
info.. All other mach.s are able to use these commands correctly.
I checked the wireless router and it has issued an IP to my machine.
I looked at the link you sent and checked my registery. It is correct.
the other odd thing is I have 7 scvhost.exe processes running, but am not
sure if this is related. 3 issued to "SYSTEM"; 2 issued to "NETWORK
SERVICE"; 2 issued "LOCAL SYSTEM". seems like over kill to me.
Please let me know if you have any advice. Thanks. -Taama

NETSTAT.COM or netstat.exe? PING.COM or ping.exe? ipconfig.exe or...
Update your antivirus software and run a full system scan.
Do the same for whatever anti-spyware applications that you have.
Do these commands work?
IPconfig /?
ping /?
netstat /?
Why don't my commands work?
