I can't access a particular site. I have no problems with the rest of the
net, it's just this one site. The site is up, I've got it on the screen of
a notebook next to this pc.

I normally use Firefox but have tried IE as well without success.
OS = WinXP SP2 with all updates. I was connected to the site when I tried
to navigate to another page on the site & Firefox could no longer find the
site.

1) There is no reference to the site in my registry
2) I'm trying to access the site from a bookmark that hasn't been amended
since I last used it.
3) I've acquired a new IP address from my ISP
4) I've asked my ISP
5) I can't ping the site because my ping command literally won't work. The
command's response is to line feed & do nothing. I need to close the DOS
box to terminate it.

I've had a similar problem before & resolved it by re-installing WindowsXP
but I'm hoping to find a less drastic solution this time.

Can anyone please suggest anything that is not on the "already tried" list
above?

I forgot to add that I've already virus checked & run spybot & ad-aware
already.
