First thing is to never wait until the drive runs full to do ur
maintenance, be regular with the disk cleanup and defrag..coz if u need
to have any improvement thru defrag, you need contiguous free space.
Have you emptied the recycle bin? Do you have Norton Protected?
Delete older restore points, and also uninstall programs that u can.
Whatever files can be removed from the HDD burn it onto CDs or other
storage devices (music files, photos etc).Run disk error check before
defragmenting. If u still dont get enuf space, go for a larger drive.
