Re: XP - Fast User Switching - NOT WORKING

David,

Clear the Event logs, and do a reboot. Try to login to the "problem" user
account, and then back to your account. Now, check the event log to see if
there are any other events registered. Check all the three logs.

No, Ramesh. I installed the hive cleanup and restarted and the user
switching mechanism doesn't yet work. I click on logoff and click on the
other user -- it pauses and then defaults back to the old user again. Any
thoughts??

Are you able to logon to the other user account after a fresh restart?

This is what I got from userenv: Windows saved user KIMIKO\ty registry
while
an application or service was still using the registry during log off. The
memory used by the user's registry has not been freed. The registry will
be
unloaded when it is no longer in use.

This is often caused by services running as a user account, try
configuring
the services to run in either the LocalService or NetworkService account.
What do you think?
