If both computers are running the same Edition and Version of Windows
XP then you can use *your* CD and *her* Product Key to reinstall XP on
her computer.
Edition = Home, Professional, Media Center, or Tablet PC
Version = Retail Upgrade, OEM, Volume License, Academic, Retail Full
Install, etc.
Note regarding OEM versions: The reinstall as above will only work if
neither computer has a "BIOS Locked" (= SLP) OEM version that does not
require activation.
What is the content of the STOP error message that she is getting?
There may be a less drastic solution than reinstalling.
