Assuming you are referring to Windows Vista expected near the end of this
year...
You would install it on your computer just as you would any other computer,
there is no difference.
Upgrading to Vista is not anything you need to do unless you have specific
needs that will require something in Vista not in other OSs.
Windows XP should be fine for several years to come.
