My specific Dual boot quandry

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hello there,

I've read a recent dual boot issue on this forum, but wanted to present
my specific concerns.

I have a Dual boot set-up with a completely rebuilt system and HDD (XP
Pro) and the old HDD from my old system (XP Home).

My biggest concern is getting to saved pictures on the old hard drive,
but I am unable to load up the XP Home drive (XP home disk has been
severly damaged, still have my license though). With the new build, the
old system's settings just kick me out due to the huge amount of
drivers that changed (HDD is the only old component basically).

When I try to access the pictures via the XP Pro installation, I
realized they are on a specific user name and I get the "Access denied"
message.

Now, I am savvy enough to get through whatever steps need to be taken,
but I am at an absolute loss as to what those steps need to be. I've
been toiling away on this system for a good bit the past couple of
days...and this is all that is left for me to do before taking over the
old drive as Xp Pro as well. I absolutely appreciate any and all help
from those of you a bit more versed in this than I am!

Jon N.
