Corrupt Recycle Bin Error message puzzles me?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hey guys I recently had to replace my old OS harddrive and copy all
partitions from the old harddrive to the new one. I have one computer with
several users on a WinXP pro SP2 OS environment. On several occasions when
singing on to the users account environment the following message appears:
"Recycle bin on D:\ is corrupt. Would you like to empty the contents
(Yes/No)." I have answered YES several times to some of these messages, and
they will reappear on subsequent signins or startups. What is the best way
to permanently resolve this issue? Thanks in advance . . .Tom J.
