Windows Explorer and Windows Media Player 10

I wonder if anyone else has experienced erratic behavior from Explorer after
upgrading Media Player?
First, I changed a folder from inside My Pictures to Details view and all
across the top of the window I saw "Album Title," "Track Number," etc.
Checking the folder's Properties, I saw that it had been changed to a "Music
Files" folder. I then found several folders in My Documents that had
likewise been changed.
I've also had serious problems (never experienced before) with folders
throughout the system retaining their View settings.
Finally, a short while ago, while I was trying to reset the Properties on
some folders, Explorer "crashed" and shut down. I rebooted and everything
seems OK, but I'm still finding windows' properties changed and views having
to be reset.
I only installed WMP 10 last week and I understand that it is tightly
integrated with Explorer, so it occurs to me that I may be having these
problems due to a "bug" in Media Player 10.
Anyone with some insight to offer here?
