I have read in many places that I trust that SP 2 'broke' the updates for H & S for certain configs.
My guess is that Microsoft had to decide between the security strenghts of SP 2 and the possibility that it might interfere with H&S. If so, I'm satisfied that MS chose to err on the side of security.
