Can't install printer on network that another machine is sharing

Just reinstalled Windows XP Pro. When I tried to install a shared printer
from another computer running W98SE it gets stuck after selecting the driver
and printer model. I can see that the two computers are communicating
heavily by all the lights on the hub. I'm not sure what kind of data is
being transferred between them but it doesn't go anywhere and installation
never completes. I always have to end the program "explorer.exe" coz it's
not responding after waiting 5-10 min. I've already disabled Norton Internet
Security on that machine thinking that was the culprit but guest not. I
didn't have this problem last time. Would anyone have any idea what would
cause this behavior?
