Dr. Watson...Who invited him?

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

I recently had to re-install my OS and since I had to re-install SP1, I
finally decided to go with SP2. I figured, what the heck, it's been long
enough. The bugs should all be worked out, right?

Well since this re-install of my OS and the addition of SP2, I have been
visited A LOT by this Dr. Watson guy and immediately afterwards the computer
locks up and I have to do a hard reboot.

What the heck does the error box "Dr. Watson Post mortem debugger" mean? Is
it spyware? What is it for and how the heck do I rid my computer of it?
Thanks.
