RE: stop message 0x8e

In my experience, these errors are usually due to hardware incompatibility
issues - usually in the drivers. This assumes that you're not using some
unusual hardware and that there's no physical problem with your hardware.
Was there any file mentioned in the STOP message? If so, that should point
to an area for you to consider. When in doubt, I usually suggest updating
your video drivers to the latest WHQL certified version. I say WHQL
certified because Microsoft has certified that driver to work.
