Can't minimize my windows

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I have troubleshooted the Display Screen, the Desktop, and the Task Manager.
I can't get my window's to minimize? It's as if they disappear? I can access
through Alt + Tab and scroll through but I want them to appear on the toolbar
on the bottom of the screen.
