Many years ago, cross posting was considered rude/spamming. I would
multi post myself, if I thought there was a reason. And, for replying
to messages that have been cross posted, I have my newsreader set to
reply to ONLY the group I'm replying to. I guess it all depends on
what you learned in the past.
