Windows XP Doesn't Recognize Audigy Sound Card - Please Help

I've recently been trying to upgrade my harddrive on my Win XP Pro system.
I've installed Windows now but it doesn't recognize that my Soundblaster
Audigy card is even plugged into a PCI slot. When I try to run the
installation CD-ROM from Creative Labs, it just says that no Audigy card is
detected on the system. The card worked fine with my old harddrive
installed so it's terribly frustrating. I know that it's probably a software
/ Windows problem because when re-install my old harddrive, the sound card
works perfectly.
I haven't changed any of my BIOS settings and have made sure that the
on-board sound card is disabled. I've searched the MS Knowledge Base as well
as the Creative Labs website for a solution but to no avail so I'm hoping
someone here has encountered this problem in the past.
Thanks a million in advance!!!
