RE: firewall question/confusion

You may have answered your own question..You need to experiment and see what
works best for your situation. If you need the router and want a firewall too
and all works and you have stealth on all ports fine. If the wired router
provides complete stealth and the tests show this to be true and ZA slows
down your system then don't use it.
I took the test (Shields UP) and am totally stealth safe and use (NIS)
Norton Internet Security which includes NAV and have never had any major
problems in the 5 years I have used it on my machines.. I don't use or need a
router wired or otherwise, but that is for my situation..
