shared properties is undefined

I was recently given a desktop computer and when I installed my peoplepc
software that I have on my laptop(which works fine) I get an error message
that says -'goPPCSharedProperties' is undefined- it goes on to list charater
and lines then says url - file://C:\\Program Files\ISP50\hta\station.sbrt
I have been on the phone with people pc and they say that it is a problem
with the computer ( everything else I installed works exactly as it should).
I was told to go to controll panel then go to system then go to advanced then
go to performance and to look for a tab headed with data execution error,
which was not present. then he tells me that he cannot help me any further
that it's the computer. I am running windows XP home edition and the updates
have all been installed--please help me if you can.
