This is not exactly on topic, but you might want to know this. Your machine
needs MORE memory. Windows XP runs painfully slow with only 128 MB of RAM.
Personally, I consider 256 MB to be a real-world BARE MINIMUM.
This probably has nothing to do with your post-SP2 woes, but you should look
into (at least) doubling your RAM. It will make a tremendous and immediately
noticable difference.
