ID ten T error, huh?
click Start, click Shut Down is because most people would be reading those
instructions in Help and Support with their computer running. You have to
restart to get to Safe Mode.
If for some reason the F8 method does not work...
Start | Run | Type: msconfig | OK |
Boot.ini tab | Check: ? /SAFEBOOT |
When you see the prompt to restart the computer |
Click Restart
Don't forget to open msconfig again and UNCheck:: ? /SAFEBOOT
Using the System Configuration Tool Method
