You need to reset the BIOS with the information about your computer and its
equipment, it sounds like those settings may have been lost/corrupted. I
know this is too late for you now but you really should enter the BIOS
before changing the battery and write the setting down in case they get lost
while changing the battery.
Look in your motherboard manual- it will show how to reset the BIOS- usually
shorting a couple of pins on the motherboard. You'll need to enter the BIOS
info afterwards. The pins may be marked by screen-printing if you don't have
the manual. Be careful not to touch anything else but the pins.
