RE: Can't log off / Switch Users / Shut down.

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I have Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2 and the lastest Dell Precision
Workstation Bios (A07) and all updates on Windows. I still have problems
switching users or shutting down (computer locks up) although I have the
cursor but now Cntrl+Alt+Del reboot functionality.

I don't see that any information on the knowledgebase addresses my problem,
since everyone says to either update the bios of your computer or install the
latest Windows Service pack. I have all of that, and I still have these
problems with my product.

Note I can sometimes switch between 2 users but can't always open the third
user, and I try to log off one of the users so that I can open the third
user, the computer locks up at "Saving Settings."

Any ideas?
