Try using safe mode (on boot, hit F8 and select safe mode). If you still
can't install, try using HijackThis and CWShredder to remove browser
hijackers and some other spyware. I believe they don't need to install, they
are just executables that you can run.
***Be careful what you remove with HijackThis because a lot of the stuff
that the scan finds in NOT bad, and if you remove the wrong thing, you could
get yourself in a bigger mess.***
You could also try removing some of the malware from startup. Go to
Start>Run and type "msconfig" (without the quotes). Go to the startup tab and
remove anything that is malware from startup. If you have any questions on
what you can and can't remove, post it here and I would be glad to help.
