You need to edit the boot.ini file to eliminate the 'phantom' dual boot system.

Click on START
Click on My Computer
Click on View System Information
Click on Advance Tab
Click on Settings button in the Startup and Recvery section
In the System Startup press the edit button
You will see your current boot.ini file, and it should be amended to look
like this:

WARNING: I recommend that you 'save' the current file as bootold.ini before
making any changes.
