SOLUTION: Restore the files replaced by the 12 April 2005 update to the
system32 directory:
shell32.dll
authz.dll
ntkrnlmp.exe
ntoskrnl.exe
user32.dll
win32k.sys
winsrv.dll
Use the Windows Recovery Console (on your XP cd) if you have no other
access to the drive. This will allow you to copy the original files
from the CD to the system32 directory.
