A few months ago, when I was trying to use one of my music creation
programs an appcompat.txt error kept popping up, causing the program to
crash. The problem persisted but after about 2 weeks it went away. I
didn't see it for months.
Then, today, I was on the internet as a popup loaded and my virus
protection software said 'trojan file removed'. This happened twice and
then I restarted the computer. The computer itself works (almost) fine,
but there is a re-occuring error message... The same appcompat.txt
error that happened to my program months ago, except now it was
happening to Windows explorer. I have run Adware, Spybot, Avast!, and
several others but nothing seems to be happening. I tried deleting the
appcompat.txt files, but they keep re-appearing in my
c/docs&settings/user/local settings/temp folder after every reboot!
Is there anyway I can fix this or will I just have to wait like I did
last time? :(
