Problems copying files or corrupted files during installation are
most often caused by defective or sub-standard hardware; in order of
likelihood, either RAM, the hard drive, or the motherboard.

No, of course not. That's why you're asked to create one for the
Administrator account when installing the OS for the first time, if you
have WinXP Pro. (WinXP Home doesn't ask for an Administrator password
during installation.)

If you didn't set a password, than it's blank.
