Annoying message keeps popping up !!

Hi . Please help. I keep getting the following message coming up on my
computer about every half hour . How do I stop this happening?

c:\windows\system32\usb.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT.
The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications. Choose "close" to terminate the application.

I press "close" but it just pops up again half hour later. I came home from
work today to find 33 such messages.
