I reinstalled XP Pro on my C drive (40gb NTFS). After completion of
reinstall, my D
drive (120gb FAT32) File System info disappeared. D drive no longer shows
up in My Computer, but is displyed in the Control Panel\Computer
Management\Administrative Tools\Storage\Disk Management as blank volume name
(no drive letter assigned, no volume name),Layout: Partition, Type: Basic,
File System is blank, Status: Healthy (Active), 114.49gb.
How can I restore my D drive? I cannot use scandisk or checkdisk or Norton
Disk Doctor as they do not see Drive D. I tried using Diskpart.exe thru
command line but Diskpart will not let me assign a drive letter. Diskpart
sees this drive as volume #3. I do not want to reformat and lose all my
data. C drive is the operating system and D drive is where I store all my
data (documents, photos, music, scanned images/documents).
Any ideas anyone?
