every time I startup my desktop it runs a chkdsc and says this:
Checking file system on C:
the type of the file system is FAT32.
One of your disks needs to be checked fo consistency. you may cancel the
diskcheck, but it is strongly recommended that you continue.
Windows will now check the disk.
volume serial number is 1077-0efb
windows is verifying files and folders...
\windows\lastgood.tmp is cross-linked on allocation unit 327904.
folder truncated.
\windows\dumpc985.tmp is cross-linked on a llocation unit 296361.
cross link resolved by copying.
\windows\tasks\sa.dat first allocation unit is not valid. the entry will be
truncated.
file and folder verification is complete.
convert lost chains to files (Y\N)? yes
640 kb in 6 recovered files.
windows is verifying free space...
it does this after every reboot. if you skip it the comupter reboots after
about 2 minutes. can anyone help me or at least offer some advice? Thanks
