Hi,
I have a win XP pro box, upgraded (not clean install) from a windows
2000 server. the XP is still not sp2 (will be in the next few days
once I have some time to backup before).
when trying to login from another computer (XP pro sp2) at home using
remote desktop client I get the "Local policy does not permit.."
which google actually "knows". Ok, now the solution everyone mentions
is to set "Allow users to logon using terminal services".
I go to gpedit.msc on the other computer. indeed I have this entry
under admin templates->terminal services. enabled.
I turn to the upgraded computer. No such entry there. Actualy I
compare entries and some of them match but some appear in one and not
in the other.
I'll mention I'm no computer expert or admin wiz, just want to logon
to the other machine. So, how do I manually add an entry to the
template?
I can't see how to do this with gpedit.msc,
any ideas?
I promiss to be forever greatful.
Bests,
--tzurs.
